You can blame Reddit for this…

Have you ever wondered if you’re a good person or not? Admittedly, this is a little deep for a Wednesday afternoon, but we’ve started now…

The reason I ask is that there's a theory doing the rounds on the internet that can apparently tell if you’re a good person or not, and it's all to do with shopping trolleys.

Allow me to explain…

The theory, which first appeared on Reddit and Twitter, explains that if you’re the type of person who just ditches their shopping trolley once they’re done with it, that makes you a bad person. But if you put it back where it's supposed to go – simply put – that means you’re a good person.

Here it is in a little more detail. Not much, mind you…

Now, of course, it's not illegal to just ditch your shopping trolley once you’ve left the supermarket, but it doesn't take much effort to put it back where it needs to go, does it?

In fairness, we’re guessing that this theory was invented back in the day when you didn't have to put a pound coin into a trolley to use it in order to ensure that you put it back where it's supposed to go.

Surely not many people – good or bad – would just ditch their trolley knowing it had actual currency in it?
