Supermarket shelves empty as coronavirus in Oxfordshire causes panic buying

Supermarket shelves across Oxfordshire have been raided as people panic buy

Supermarket shelves across Oxfordshire have been raided as people panic buy items due to coronavirus.

As the first Oxfordshire cases were confirmed today, readers sent us photos like these of empty shelves in stores across the county.

These photos were taken at Sainsbury's Kidlington, but we have also seen similar scenes at Sainsbury's Heyford Hill and other supermarkets.

Hand sanitiser, toilet paper and cleaning supplies are all in short supply.
