SHOPPERS at Aldi, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Lidl have been warned after the supermarkets were forced to remove certain food from shelves.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has recalled several products.

The regulator has issued a "do not eat" warning to various items it believes to pose a risk to customers.

If you have purchased any of the products below, do not eat them.

Instead return them to the store and you should get a full refund - even without your receipt.

Sainsbury's issued a recall for its Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar with best before dates of June 12, June 22 and June 23.

The affected products risk causing Salmonella and come in a pack size of 200g.

Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

If you have any queries or concerns please call Sainsbury's customer care line on 0800 636 262 or visit help.sainsburys.co.uk.

Tesco has recalled its Capricorn Somerset Goats Cheese 85g, due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

If you've purchased one with the batchcode of 101 and a best before date of May 26 do not eat it.

Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given.

Gosh! has recalled several of its Sweet Potato Pakora and Falafel products because they may contain gluten which is not declared on the label.

This means that the products are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten.

Supermarkets including Asda, Aldi, Tesco and Morrisons sell these items.

Here are the products you'll need to return and their best before dates:

If you have purchased the items then FSA advises you contact Gosh! on [email protected] for a full refund.

If you're returning a recalled product, your rights to get a refund depends on whether the fault makes the product unsafe.

Sometimes the business will repair the product, for example by fitting a new part. But this should be done for you.

If a fault makes a product unsafe to use — and it's difficult to correct the fault — the Consumer Guarantees Act says you might have the right to reject the product and claim a replacement or a refund.

You can read more about your rights concerning a recalled product in our guide.

Tesco and Superdrug previously had to issue an urgent recall on a couple of products due to fears they could contain pieces of metal.

The product recalls apply to Tesco's whey protein with flavours of strawberry and chocolate.
