Ina Garten Reveals Her Spring Cleaning Routine on Instagram

We all love Ina Garten. She's our Barefoot Contessa, favorite Hamptons-based host, acclaimed cookbook author, and chef extraordinaire. And now Garten can add one more title to her never-ending repertoire: pantry influencer.

Between filming her latest show and cooking for her husband, Jeffrey, Garten recently took to Instagram to give the world a rare glimpse into her annual spring cleaning routine. It includes refreshing her top-notch pantry, swapping out old oils for new bottles, and most importantly, enlisting the help of some smart organizers to keep everything tidy.

Since Wednesday, the viral post has racked up over 103,000 likes and nearly 2,000 comments, including from celebrities like Julianne Moore, Julianna Margulies, and Nancy Meyers. Several Instagram users have commented that they're happy to see that the Barefoot Contessa's pantry is "seemingly normal" and even relatable.

Garten shared she is using clear plastic bins to keep dried goods like chocolate bars, grains, and beans organized and accessible. She wrote in the post, "It's easier to see what I already have when I'm making a grocery list!"

Just like Garten, we also love using clear plastic bins in our kitchens. They keep food from scattering across the fridge or pantry shelves and also make it easier to carry ingredients to your cooking area. And if they stack to take advantage of vertical space? Even better.

She also uses other organization essentials like large baker's racks to store her plates and cookware, roomy white crocks to hold both her stainless steel and wooden utensils, and deep bowls for produce like lemons, which she famously doesn't refrigerate. (They not only add some color to the kitchen, but Garten wrote that you can squeeze more juice from citrus at room temperature.)
