The frustrating issue means you have to hold the trolley with your body or foot as you put your items into your car, to stop it rolling away from you and potentially creating a dangerous situation.
To combat the problem, the customer said she had her husband make her a simple strap to anchor the trolley to the lock in the boot of her car.
"If your ALDI has a carpark on a slope, get your hubby to make you a strap," she wrote on the Aldi Mums Facebook page.
"No more wedging my foot under the trolley, so the baby and my food doesn't end up down the hill!"
Another suggested that a short octopus "occy" strap - available from Bunnings - could also do the trick.
Thousands of people reacted to the post, agreeing that it could stop a disaster from unfolding.
"I just screen shot this and sent it to my husband. New trolleys don't have a break. So hard to hold trolley with foot. Always worried my toddler and food will roll away and tip," said one.
Added another: "Gosh this is awesome. My husband let go once. $2,000 worth of damage."
Wrote a third: "I need this. Last time, when I turned around I couldn't find my trolley."
One more said: "Genius! I used to avoid a particular shopping centre purely because I couldn't handle the sloped carpark with a trolley!"
Another responded: "That's amazing, I’m disabled and shopping on my own trying to hold the trolley can be a nightmare. Absolute genius."
The shopper who came up with the hack said she had faced similar struggles.
"I even contemplated taking a wood piece to wedge under the wheel," she added.
"It's a work out packing boot and not loosing the kids and trolley."
Many agreed it was a great idea for all supermarket shoppers - and one that could make her a lot of money!
"Patent it ASAP you’ll thank me when you’re selling them," said one.
Another wrote: "First prize for innovation."
A third said: "This is actually genius for any car park!"
Added one more: "This could break the internet!"
Another suggested another step to protect your car from any trolley damage.
"And place a mat/towel from the boot over the edge of the boot so the trolley doesn't hit you car bumper!" the ALDI fan added.
